Title: Tokkscape
Summary: Superior for Medieval RPGs.
Authors: Kevin Kikk 4923
Submitted By: Aber Purchai
Date Submitted: Mon Mar 22, 2010 5:33 pm
Description: I am Kevin Kikk ingame, and this is the first map I'm releasing, not the first one I made. This is good for Medeival RPGs, and features a plateau, mountain range, and lots of building space. Enjoy!

Well, I screwed up and this is broken. Don't worry though, I will make a map that is at least three times as good as this one! It will have a day/night version for all of these:

- Nothing but mountains, hills, etc. (leaves room for creativity)
- Vegetation (trees, shrubs, etc. Less room for creativity, but more stuff!)

Yeah, I have no idea what happened with the sky. Sometime i'll try to redo it. I can't do it right without a few good tutorials though...

For a first release, this is very good quality. You may want to try adding more texture to the sky, and working on those..... boxy areas. Other than that, good. 4/5 DLing

Very..boxy, the sky is also just a blue, i like it other than the fact that it's a bit random.

You're right Leopard. Repeat terrain has to be on for it to work.

Actually Leopard, the thing is fixed. For some reason I just couldn't do it on Tokkscape. Any other maps and it worked fine. I will make new versions of Tokkscape. It will be a lot better, but still, some good tutorials for the mission editor would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, im a little mapper myself, ill look into it...
I dont really think the mission editor is broken, you probably just pushed a button. Trying to recreate the events that happened, would you please tell me EXACTLY what you did?

*Sigh*

The mission editor I knew and loved is gone, corrupted by its own brokeness. If any skilled mapper could tell me how to fix the editor*, I would be really really grateful.

* When I activated the mission editor ingame, I saw this in the blockland command box: ERROR: File "common/editor/heightscripts/Untitled-1.png" is not in one of the defualt directories
Executing editor/editorRender.cs.

Plz plz plz plz plz help me fix the editor! Don't let Tokkscape die without improving!!!!!!

I know I won't be forgiven for this one...

Anyway, I will be spending the next few days making more Tokkscape maps (if the frickin mission editor will WORK, reinstalled blockland THREE TIMES NOW!!!). Any mission editor tutorials and general help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh man, triple post! Plz forgive me. But the mission editor is broken. I even reinstalled Blockland and the grid is still not showing up. I cannot edit textures or change heights...this is not good. Any help plz?

Sry for double post, but the grid thingy that appears when I change the height of something or change the texture of something is gone. I do not know what to do...I can't make maps or improve this one unless I have a fully working mission editor.

I am grateful for the positive comments and even the negative, for they will help in future updates of this map. However, in order for this map to be the best it can be, I have a few questions as I am still relatively not so good at making maps (this one took me HOURS, and lots of re-doing):

1. How do you update maps? (this is the first addon I posted on rtb)
2. How do you change the size of a map? (I will not have the terrain repeat unless I am told to do so, then I will make a repeating terrain version.

:\ i would use this but it is still okay in my book.

suggestions:

1: make the map have more of a variety of terrains, like a desert area, a snowy area, and a forest area.

2: make the mountains less boxy

3: add some trees and rocks

4: add a water source like a river or lake to make it seem more ideal for RPG's so that it could have a use for boats
