Posted: Sun Jul 04, 2010 1:52 pm Jirue, I tried, I successfully oriented the shading of the top texture (silly UV coords I forgot to change).
The persistent problem is, the longer part of the top texture is still thin (see fig.1) and is same with the situation of the 1x1F , while the shorter parts are in good proportion. I tried doing alot of trials and errors to make it align with the 1x2F, but the longer parts still thin. The good t |

Well how many people are going to use a messed up add on just for the sole purpose of messing up their house? Even so, not many people are going to download said crappy add on and won't even see it, you can easily mess up default prints and mine too, just turn them in opposite directions and put random spaces and gaps in them. |

Posted: Sat Jul 03, 2010 10:33 pm ok, not only did I take a picture of the problem , I took a picture of the way it should look and I magnified them.
First of all, your 1x1 tile does not compare to Damien's 1x1 tile print. Yours is too small and it does not fit the rest of them at all and just looks bad. Second, your other 3 bricks' verticle lines are about half as big as they should be, again, too small and looks bad. Third, their hor |

Wow, did Badspot just failed at texturing bricks the right way? Gee, it must be embarrassing, because Jirue said so.
We all know it isn't obvious that optimizing the performance of bricks is heavily emphasized in this heavily modified engine.
Maybe you're right. I'll waste trillions of quads just to make the textures look "correct" wh |

Bah Edit: Nevermind, I thought maybe you'd done it correctly and my prints were no longer useful, but you did it completely wrong, making my prints look significantly better than these bricks.
After testing, its obvious that you used the 2x2f texture for that 1x1 tile so that print is squished down and smaller than regular ol' tile prints and for the 1x4,6,8 you used the 1x2 texture, so those are stretched and look just awful.
If you're going to do this then do it right. |
