Dry downloading the map and exploring it before judgeing it and not assume it's picture of the entire map? |

Posted: Thu Sep 10, 2009 11:36 am It's not the best map, but I think it pretty good for rough terrain. It could be used in some Blockland movie scenes. |

Posted: Tue Sep 08, 2009 9:24 pm Yea, I might remove this since I also think it quite sucks. I thought it was good for a first map but heightmaps work better IMO. |

Posted: Tue Sep 08, 2009 7:42 pm You only used one texture. It needs more textures for rocks on the steep sides of montains, etc. |

Posted: Sun Sep 06, 2009 9:25 pm I mainly uploaded this to get feedback and to see what was wrong with it before I do more maps. Could you link me a tutorial on how to do get heightmaps into blockland? |

Posted: Sun Sep 06, 2009 8:24 pm It's good to see that you know how to use the terrain transform filters but in the future you should consider hand-sculpting the terrain. Randomly generated maps are not very pretty or practical, they tend to be hard to navigate and easy to get lost in.
Also, just for reference, you can get heightmaps of anywhere in the US here: http://seamless.usgs.gov/website/seamless/viewer.htm |
