Title: Advance Light
Summary: Lets players equip any light (in the server).
Submitted By: Truce
Date Submitted: Mon Sep 07, 2009 6:01 pm
Description: Before you ask: no, this isn't really a useful mod. It's like the Vehicle Stereo, as in it's just one of those mods you can mess around with, and use to have fun with friends. By typing /setlight name, you can set your light to any light the server has. For example, /setlight RGB and /setlight Yellow Blink. Then, when you equip your light with the light button, your light will be whatever you set it to.

Fixed a small typo in the script on Sept. 8th, 4:45 EST time. If you downloaded before then, I suggest you re-download, but it is NOT required. (It doesn't affect the outcome of the script, and that is why I didn't add it as an update.)

I like this idea, I think I might actually have some use with this... no clue really what to do with it, but still, 4.5/5. (-.5 cuz... you know... it really isn't a five star addy, but I'll still rate it in stars 5/5)

Couldn't we just use the event OnActivate>SetPlayerLight? I'm not sure if that's the event, but there's one similar to it.

Hmm. I was thinking of making this for vehicles and making custom lights for it, such as Police Siren and Reverse blinker lights. But this works just as well, All i gotta do is make the lights :D.

Oh, fail; I typo'd the var name in the script. It still returns false though if the string has content.

Iban,

Code:
==>$myVar = "";
==>echo((!$myVar));
1
==>$myVar = "123 456 789";
==>echo((!$myVar));
0

Try it yourself.

Code:
   if(!$LighList)
   {
      for(%i = 0; %i < DatablockGroup.getCount(); %i++)
      {
         %obj = DatablockGroup.getObject(%i);

         if(%obj.getClassName() $= "fxLightData" && %obj.uiName !$= "")
            $LightList = $LightList SPC %obj;
      }

      $LightList = trim($LightList);
   }

$LighList will never equal true. Ever. Even if you had named it $LightList and it got a datablock string put towards it, strings evaluate to 0.

[code]if(!$Li
