Anybody remembers that old Parkour Playertype I made a while ago, which had stamina, slippery and stiff controls?
Well, belive it or not, I fixed all of those problems. Behold: the new amazing Parkour Playertype which features:
    [li]Fluid controls![/li]
    [li]Reasonable player speed![/li]
    [li]No stamina![/li]
    [li]Custom, realistic fall damage![/li]
    [li]Visible hands in first-person![/li]
    [li]Burst mode: run at top speed for a while for a burst of speed![/li]
    [li]Animations for everything! (Not custom animations, mind you)[/li]
    [li]Your health slowly regenerates to compensate for fall damage![/li]

Wall climb: Hold JUMP while facing a wall.
Wall jump: Hold JUMP while facing away from wall.
Wall run: Hold JUMP while "running" along the wall.
Ledge grabbing: Hold JUMP to grab ledge.
Ledge climbing: Keep holding jump after grabbed or tap jump.
Ledge drop: Press rightclick or shift to let go of the ledge.
Roll: Hold shift while falling. Will reduce or completely void the fall damage.
Slide: Hold shift while in burst mode to slide. Maintains momentum for a bit.

    [li]Shimmying along the ledge is very hacky right now[/li]

Also, here's a useful keybind: moveMap.bindCmd("keyboard", "x", "$mvYaw = $pi;", "");
Type in console. Change "x" to whatever you want.
It rotates you 180 degrees, useful for walljumping.

Ledge grabbing is very iffy for me. When I use it it's complete luck or i have to do a wall run or the regular 4x1 blocks I can only ledge grab on the width side but not the length?

There should be a heavy and light version, each being able to do less and more insane parkour stunts. For example, heavy couldn't jump very high or climb much. But light could climb alot further. Because if you're carrying an m60 and body armor, it's alot harder to do stunts, but you can still do some.

Another feature that I and many people would LOVE is the ability to roll after a long fall, and add falling damage. Rolling after a long fall will reduce falling damage, while not rolling will result in injury or death. This would give purpose to the shift button(if thats even going to be used) in this playertype! :D

One feature that'd be quite awesome in this is a wall grab. It would allow you to stop on and cling onto a wall, and have limited turning capabilities, similar to how it works in shadow of the colossus. ANOTHER feature that would be cool is the sidejump. Utilizing the wallgrab forementioned, you can stop, turn to the left or right, and move over to that direction of the wall, as to how you climb directly up the wall in this version.

Okay, I'm back from vacation, and I will start working on this playertype again.
Everyone complaining about it not usable in afghanistan, OFCOURSE it's not usable there. All the tricks and walljumps are basically not designed for tiny map like that, make special courses just for this playertype or ask your friends to lend you one!

I like the running part when you're just moving forward but god,

freerunning in an open map like afghanistan is rediculous. Even in tight spaces you can't walljump easily and you can basically abuse the midair flight control

Question. Why the hell does it not even WORK!? I don't hear HL2 sound, I hear NORMAL SOUND. I don't see any new animations. I can't climb. And don't think it's because I'm not on the playertype. I see the stamina and I move like the quake-like player but it's slippery. Help?

@ben watts, It is slidy because it's made for freerunning and parkour, aka get from one point to another as fast as possible. Sliding gives it more fluid style of control, and really, if I remove sliding it will be less fun.
